Tuhannen Tarinan Talo is located in the Saimaa region, between Kouvola and Lappeenranta in the village of Kannuskoski.

During your holiday, you can explore Finland's magnificent nature - even two different national parks and the Saimaa Geopark. All these destinations are about an hour's drive from Tuhannen Tarinan Talo. There are also a number of city destinations within a day's drive - you can combine them to create a holiday of your choice.

Hiking is possible all year round. You can explore the national parks on your own, but if you need a guide, equipment hire and a little more local knowledge, here are some tips on our fantastic and professional partners in these destinations. You can contact them directly for guidance and equipment hire.

At the end of your hiking days, you can enjoy delicious local food, warm sauna baths and a sweet sleep in the shelter of a log cabin that is over a hundred years old.

So take Tuhannen Tarinan Talo as your base and tour the most interesting places in the southeast!

The house's courtyard has livestock yard in summer, a 6-hole frisbee golf course, a small playground, trampolines and a padel court. The nearest lake is accessible for swimming. You can hire canoes to paddle on the Väliväylä canoeing route or Lake Hujajärvi, or book horse riding and horse-drawn carriage rides as part of your holiday programme. In winter, a traditional cross-country ski trail starts from the house yard and the sledding hill is located in the yard. There is a nearby shelter where you can have a campfire and have a picnic.

The holiday includes accommodation, breakfast and dinner. Children 4-13 years half price. Children 0-3 years 10 €/day if you enjoy the house picnic.

The price includes accommodation in a double room or family room with linen and towels and half board (breakfast and dinner).

Accommodation is in the cosy rooms of the main house or in the barn's loft. A fully equipped kitchen is shared, as well as a barbecue area and a hut for cooking your own picnics.

Half board includes dinner on the day of arrival, breakfast on the day of departure.
