Tuhannen Tarinan Talo – House of a Thousand Tales

Tuhannen Tarinan Talo is a family-run farm tourism destination in the Saimaa Lakeland region, in the village of Kannuskoski, between Kouvola and Lappeenranta.

Our more than 100-year-old farm has welcomed travellers for almost 30 years. We offer our guests time to slow down, with genuine experience, warm Karelian hospitality and respect for the surrounding nature and local culture.

Our farm holidays include accommodation, half board or full board, and, of course, a Finnish sauna experience at the end of the day – with different sauna options to choose from. If you wish, you can also join us in feeding our animal friends and experience a small part of everyday life on the farm.

During the winter season, the entire property is also available for private rental, similar to renting a holiday cottage. Individual rooms are not available for booking during the winter season.

Our farm animals live in the farmyard and at our nearby stable throughout the year. In winter, a traditional cross-country ski trail and a sledding hill start right from the farmyard. Snowshoes are available for rent, and sledges and sliding mats can be borrowed free of charge.

You are also welcome to enjoy the Laavulaakso lean-to shelter and the barbecue area in the farmyard.
